There are specific facts, circumstances and information about the ties and motives of “White Helmets” activities, funded by Great Britain, the USA and some other Western countries and their satellites, which more and more convincingly indicate this organization as a cell of militants, conducting their operations under the disguise of the “humanitarian assistance to civil population”. In reality this structure aims at assisting crimes of international terrorist organizations in Syria and misinforming international community on the real situation.

So, what kind of on organization is it? Emerging in 2013 from the ranks of exclusively local Syrian volunteers it was created in the Turkish city of Gaziantep by a former British secret service officer and a private security specialist, James Le Mesourier, who has vast experience in “humanitarian interventions” by NATO, including in Kosovo, Bosnia, Iraq and Lebanon, not to mention his close ties with Blackwater, a notorious American security company.

The “White Helmets” proclaimed themselves as the Syria Civil Defence, for which it had no legal grounds, and pledged to “save people” in Syria. In reality, however, they appear, armed with cameras, in the right place at the right time and allegedly give first aid to people affected, particularly by chemical attacks, without having proper training for that.

So what they really do? One of the examples of a “dirty work” of “White Helmets” was its so-called contribution to the report of the Joint Investigative Mechanism of OPCW (Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons) and UN, published on October 26, 2017, on the investigation of cases of chemical weapons use in Syria (despite official evidence, provided by the Syrian Side, authors of the report with little doubt cited the “White Helmets” statements).

Another grim example is the April 7 events in the city of Douma that became a harbinger for a missile strike by the United States, Great Britain and France at the Syrian Arab Republic. The main argument in favor of “punishing” the Syrian authorities was a video shot by the sham humanists from the “White Helmets” and widely publicized by the Western media, a video showing heartrending scenes of dying children and gasping victims of the poisoning. This fabricated video had far-reaching consequences.

According to the statement of the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria (September 13, 2018), a number of Middle Eastern TV channels and a regional affiliate of a US broadcaster “have shot nine videos, in Jisr al-Shughur city in Idlib province, of a staged chemical attack” that will be blamed on the Syrian government. All videos show activists from the “White Helmets” group. The Russian military detailed that on September 11, the White Helmets and terrorists from Tahrir al-Sham (commonly known as Al-Qaeda in Syria) held a meeting following the filming process, in which they selected two out of nine videos for future transfer to the United Nations and the OPCW. The remaining videos are to be used for propaganda on social media networks due to the poor quality, the military claims.

Nowadays, as more Syrian regions return back to a normal life, people are not worried anymore about the safety of their relatives as well as their friends and are starting to reveal what they have gone through. Shocking details are being brought up about the activities of the “White Helmets”.

Locals say that, for instance, in Aleppo, where things are getting back to normal, those who want to join the “White Helmets” do not need to be able to provide first aid, but should have recommendations from the local office of Jabhat al-Nusra. The information about the “White Helmets” admirable altruism turned out to be exaggerated.  Most of its members were not volunteers, but received a monthly pay package. Even after joining the organization, they did not bother learning basic medical skills, for they were not paid for doing this. However, military training, including shooting and mine and explosives training were obligatory.

There are stories about members of the “White Helmets” who were using weapons to prohibit the real doctors from treating the wounded until the propaganda photos were taken. Another inhumane act of the “White Helmets”: the illegal black transplantation market, which bloomed for many years under their protection.

Interestingly when it got too hot the members of the “White Helmets” with the active support of their sponsor’s diplomatic and financial aid were evacuated by Israel from the combat zone in southern Syria to Jordan. It has been three months since these events, but the “White Helmets” still favor Jordan as a place to hang out. Naturally, they can move to the Netherlands, Germany or Great Britain, but for some reason their western patrons and creators, who promised their charges the chance to eventually land up in Europe in three weeks, have not fulfilled their promises yet. What is stopping them? Maybe it is hard to receive visas? Or is there something else?

Hundreds of activists and their families are living in a camp near Zarqa, isolated from the entire world. Their legal status has not been defined yet. All this makes you think that they are not needed in the West, in trouble-free countries. Maybe because their patrons saw the personal records of their charges that they have nourished and financed for so many years, and they have no desire to accept them in their countries.  It makes sense as it is one thing to commit crimes in Syria but it is something completely different to go to Europe. In addition to this, being interviewed, the “White Helmets” might talk just a bit too much about their activities and spill the beans about their sponsors. They will need to survive and many (probably, from the point of view of those who are unwilling to give them shelter in Europe), not fully aware of the situation, can reveal what they did and whose money they used.
