Electronic visa (e-visa) to Kaliningrad Region, Saint Petersburg City and Leningrad Region

Kaliningrad Region (from July 1, 2019)

Starting from July 1, 2019 citizens of Austria, Andorra, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Vatican, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Denmark, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Qatar, Cyprus, China (including Taiwan), Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, North Macedonia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Philippines, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia and Japan can use a specialized website of the Russian MFA (http://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru/) to apply for a single-entry business, humanitarian and tourist visa in the form of an electronic visa (e-visa) to visit the territory of Kaliningrad Region, Russian Federation.

E-visa is issued free of charge based on an online application of a foreign citizen no later than 4 days before the proposed date of arrival and with a digital photo attached to the application in the form of an electronic file. No additional documents are required.

E-visa is valid within 30 days starting from the date of issue and with a permission of 8 days' stay in the Russian Federation starting from the date of arrival.

E-visa is valid for visiting Kaliningrad Region through Russian border checkpoints located on the territory of Kaliningrad Region only: «Kaliningrad (Khrabrovo)» Airport, «Kaliningrad» sea checkpoints (Kaliningrad city, Baltiysk city and Svetly city), «Bagrationovsk», «Gusev», «Mamonovo (Grzechotki)», «Mamonovo (Gronowo)», «Morskoye», «Pogranichny», «Sovetsk», «Chernyshevskoye» road checkpoints, as well as «Mamonovo» and «Sovetsk» railway checkpoints.

From July 1, 2019 citizens of the above mentioned states with e-visas are allowed to reside and move around only within the territory of Kaliningrad Region. It is not possible to use e-visas to enter other parts of the Russian Federation with the purpose of transit to Kaliningrad Region or exit from it (including direct mode through the airports).


Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Region (from October 1, 2019)

Entry to the territory of Saint Petersburg city and Leningrad region and exit from it by the railway transport with E-visa is not possible.

From October 1, 2019 citizens of the above mentioned states with e-visas are allowed to reside and move around only within the territory of Saint Petersburg city and Leningrad region.

 

N.B.: COMMON MISTAKES IN APPLYING FOR AN ELECTRONIC VISA

Transport companies may check whether a foreign citizen holds a valid e-visa at a specialized website of the Russian MFA (https://evisacheck.kdmid.ru/).
